Portland Green Career Websites
- City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (www.portlandonline.com). The bureau’s mission is to provide leadership and to contribute practical solutions to ensure a prosperous community where people and nature thrive, now and in the future. This website provides a wealth of resources to keep the green job seeker informed.
- Mac's List (www.macslist.org) offers the most comprehensive local job board for jobs in sustainability as well as robust networking events, a podcast and other resources for mission-driven professionals in Portland.
- Green Dream Jobs (www.sustainablebusiness.com/greendreamjobs/jobs/) offers industry news, investment information, events information and the GreenDreamJobs section. The site targets all levels of employees, allowing companies to post internship and volunteer opportunities for free. They do, however, charge a sliding scale for other job openings based on a number of employees at a given company.
- Portland Business Journal (portland.bizjournals.com/portland/). This weekly business journal covers news from the four-county region, and now prints a quarterly insert called "Sustainable Oregon."
- "Sustainable Life" section of Portland Tribune (pamplinmedia.com/portland-tribune-sustainable-life). This is a weekly installment of the Portland Tribune, published every Tuesday, with stories about individuals, groups and companies who are working towards creating a sustainable quality of life in the Portland region.
- Sustainable Oregon (sustainableoregon.net) communicates developments in Oregon state government and connects you with local agencies, organizations and businesses taking leadership roles in sustainable development.
